It's actually great because now that the kids are older, there is a lot less to worry about. All of the kids are swimmers, and none of them are too daring. Well, except my son of course. He would be the one to jump off of 2nd floor deck into the pool on a dare. But that is a story for another post. Crazy kid.

That's exactly how we like it.
I didn't get into the ocean on Monday. I went down and watched everyone, but I pretty much spent lots of hours just lazily floating in the pool - alternately reading, napping or linking up with my sisters and yapping. Most of the crew went in and said the waves were pretty good. They were all catching waves, smiling big.
My niece Kylie got a bad sunburn, as usual. Poor redhead, doesn't matter how many times she gets slathered with sunscreen, she always burns. Kara slept in and didn't make it to the pool til 1 and wondered why she didn't get as tan as everyone else, as usual. Alex's sniffley cold went right to his chest, as usual. His asthma was really bothering him so I had to call our GP and get a prescription called in to the local pharmacy. It didn't stop him from joining in at the beach and pool, and having a few too many Lime Cactus' though.
I'd like to consider Lime Cactus a girlie beer. Ty, Ali and Alex are very into that beer in the summer.
Anyway, Indi and Kevin were in charge of the dinner that night. They made a huge batch of chicken ziti, Italian bread and salad. They got a couple of hot pies for dessert. Excellent meal. And omg the berry pie was ridiculous.
There is a reason why I don't keep stuff like that in my house.
